Walter Lee Bell of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Russell D. Bell and Cherry Nuckols, was born June 24, 1965 in Hamilton, Ohio and departed this life on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Campbellsville. He was 58 years of age.
He was of the Christian Faith. He had been previously employed as an armored car attendant and also at McLane Distribution. Walter also faithfully served as a volunteer with the Campbellsville-Taylor County Rescue Squad for many years and loved his community. He was an avid U of L sports fan and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his Mother: Cherry Nuckols, one daughter and one son: Ashley Wethington of Nicholasville and Terence Bell and wife Savannah of Glensfork.
Two grandchildren: Gaige Wethington and MaKenna Bell
Seven brothers and sisters: Ronnie Bell, Kathy Slaughter, Marjorie Gore, Ricky Bell, Irvin Bell, Mollie Tate, and Anthony Bell.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife: Wanda Sue Sapp Bell, and five brothers: Wendell Bell, Mack Odell Bell, Duril Gene Bell, and a set of twin boys.
There will be a funeral service for Walter Lee Bell on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 1765 New Columbia Rd. Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery
Pastor William Hardin will officiate.
The family requests visitation on Saturday, October 14, 2023, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
Memorials are suggested to be donations to Shriners and may be made at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Dustin Keifer, Darius Bell, Ricky Buckner, Demonte Spurling, Chris Bridgewater, Brantley Welch, JaMarcus VanCleave, and Irvin Bell.
