Mrs. Vivian Elaine Cochran of the Elk Horn community passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her home. Daughter of the late Delmar and Bernice (Herron) Hayes, she was born in Taylor County on February 13, 1947, making her 74 years, 6 months, and 8 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Stoner Creek United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a husband, David Cochran. Later, she was also preceded in death by a long-time companion, Don Ball.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
A daughter: Robin Tucker and husband Roger of Elk Horn,
A brother: Joe Hayes of Taylor County,
Two sisters: Delilah Cruise and husband Bobby of Hodgenville, and Tanya Crain and husband Robert of Taylor County,
Five grandchildren: Jessica Matthews, Justin Matthews and wife Brandi, Amber Walls, David Walls, and China Walls,
And a host of other family members and friends.
Mrs. Cochran had requested cremation. There will be a memorial service to honor her life on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Rev. Tara Hall and Rev. John Hall will be officiating.
