Mr. Rufus Clay Brown of Campbellsville passed suddenly from this life on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Campbellsville, being 36 years, 5 months, and 21 days of age. He was the son of Stacey (McMahan) and Mickey Hardy, who survive. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the Iraq War, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a former cell tower technician, and attended the Grace Fellowship Church in North Carolina with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rupert “Moose” Brown, Jr., in 2015.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His parents: Stacey and Mickey Hardy of Clayton, North Carolina,
Three siblings: Rupert “Boo” Brown, III of Texas, Angela Milby of Barren County, and Tiffany Effinger of North Carolina,
A lifelong friend: Jeremy Tucker and wife Tiffany of Campbellsville,
And a host of other family members and friends, including the Margaret McMahan family of Campbellsville.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 2:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. The Marion County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors at approximately 3:30 PM EDT at the funeral home.
There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Brown on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM EDT at the Grace Fellowship Church, 97-104 Anna Dr, Clayton, NC, with Pastor Alex Bullard officiating.
