Roy Bramel, II Obituary

Mr. Roy Neville Bramel, II of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy and Lelia Gretchen (Rucker) Bramel, was born in Flemingsburg, KY on July 29, 1943. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Hospital, being 77 years, 8 months, and 15 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mannsville Christian Church. Mr. Bramel retired from General Telephone after working as a lineman for 25 years, and had served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed working with his hands, and was a man of many talents. As a noted reenactor of early American history, he had built several fully functional black powder rifles. He cherished time spent with his family; they speak fondly of times, often when on vacations, Mr. Bramel would take them through various shops looking for photography equipment or collectible coins.

He will be remembered best as a devoted husband and family man, always supporting his children and grandchildren in their endeavors.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His wife: Mrs. Wanda (Bright) Bramel,

Three children: Curt Bramel and wife April of Lexington, Steve Bramel and wife Tina of Lebanon, and Michelle Ingram and husband Dwayne of Campbellsville,

One brother: John Bramel and wife Joann of Lebanon,

Seven Grandchildren: Emily Bramel, Nathan Bramel, Dakota Bramel, Abigail Bramel, Hunter Ingram, Hayden Ingram, and Hidey Ingram,

One great-grandchild: Cove Bramel,

And a host of extended family and friends.

Mr. Bramel will be entombed in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following a private funeral service. Bro. Jim Freeman and Bro. Kenny Dotson will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the Mannsville Christian Church, which can be made online or by clicking the "Donation" button at the top of this obituary.
