Rachel B. (Burchell) Foley

Rachel B. Foley, of Campbellsville, formerly of Casey County, the daughter of the late Homer L. and Bessie (Dermody) Burchell was born May 5, 1937 in Marion County and departed this life on Wednesday at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 85 years of age.

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and worked for the Hiestand House and Taylor County High School thru the Green Thumb Program and was of the Baptist Faith.

Rachel enjoyed cooking, reading especially her recipe books, going from town to town with her family exploring and always talking about all the good places she found to eat and would recommend them to family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Foley in 1986 and two brothers: William and Perry Edward “EB” Burchell and three step-siblings: Cecil Monday, Dwight Monday and JoAnn Riggins.

Survivors include three children: Dean Burress and wife Tammy of Campbellsville, Doug Burress and companion Renee Sylvester and Debbie Foley McNear and special friend: Roger Pruitt of Campbellsville; a brother and sister: Jimmy Burchell and wife Montie of Dry Creek and Katie Yaden of Ohio.

Also surviving are three grandchildren: Richard Burress and wife Erika, Chaz Burress and wife Brandy and Heather Johnson; three step-grandchildren: Garrett, Willie and Evie and their families; two great-grandchildren: Harper and Hayden Burress and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Rachel B. Foley will be conducted Monday, June 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the

L.R. Petty Funeral Home (Acton-Mannsville Chapel)

250 Wooleyville Road, Campbellsville.

Interment in the Cold Springs Cemetery in Casey County
