Mrs. Neda Kaye Watson of Campbellsville was born on April 2, 1956 to the late Fred Vernon and Cora (Farmer) Watson. She departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at her home after an extended illness. She was 63 years, 11 months, and 5 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and grew up attending the Feathersburg Church of God. She was a former housecleaner and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and collecting rocks, but was especially fond of her grandchildren, and the times they spent together.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Two children: Greg Watson and wife Lora, and Angela Graham and fiance Gary Simons, all of Campbellsville,
Three siblings: Regina Parker and husband Johnny Ray, Nina Cox, and Gerald Ann Brown, all of Campbellsville,
Five grandchildren: Brinkley “Baby Lucy” Simons, Corey Keith Watson, Colton Tate Graham, Tray Flinchum and Chey Ann Edwards.
Three stepgrandchildren: Summer, Chelsie, and Sidney,
And a host of other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by nineteen siblings: Anna, Magalene, Mary, Dorothy, Frances, Vernon, Archie, Cozetta, Willie, Buster, Johnny, Jewell Dean, Freddy, and four infants; and one grandson: Dace Watson.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Watson on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM EST (12:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Mar. 9, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 PM CST).
