Myrna Martin Obituary

Mrs. Myrna Dean Martin, age 85, of Campbellsville, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, May 17, 2020. She was born on December 30, 1934 in Green County and was the daughter of the late Edgar T. and Emma Frances (Bean) Milby. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin loved helping - be it people, animals, or various causes - and truly enjoyed interacting with people at her job at Walmart. Her philanthropic efforts benefited countless people and organizations, both locally and nationally. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, the Red Hatters, the Republician Womens Club, Hospice Tea, and a mentor at Campbellsville University.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

   Her husband: Marvin Martin,

Three children: Tina Ti Speller and husband Phillip of Florida, William “Bill” Wilson of Campbellsville, and Lisa Janes and husband Ricky of Campbellsville,

Two stepchildren: Daryl Martin and wife Darlene of Oklahoma, and Amy Davis of North Carolina,

Six grandchildren: Chase Speller and wife Angie, Fallon Asherman and husband Justin, Corey Wilson and wife Cassandra, Logan Wilson and wife Misha, Whitney Ewing and husband Brooks, and Wade Burton and wife Hannah,

Three stepgrandchildren: Hannah Martin, Maggie Martin-Jenkins, and Autumn Schaffer,

   Twelve great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a half brother, Junior Milby.

Mrs. Martin wished to continue a legacy of giving, and made prior arrangements for a posthumous scientific study of her body.

All funeral services were performed privately.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be in the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Those may be made in person at the funeral home, or online through the “How Can I Help” tab on the front page of this site.
