Mr. Martin James "Marty" Kutey of Russell Springs, Kentucky and Phoenix, Arizona was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 25, 1950 to the late Raymond John and Mary Celia (Tedesco) Kutey. He departed this life on Monday, February 8, 2021 at his home in Phoenix, being 70 years, 7 months, and 14 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Cross Creek Church in Russell Springs. Mr. Kutey was a veteran of the United States Army and earned the right to wear several medals, including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart, during his two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was the former owner of Pinehurst Motel, a proud patriot, and a talented welder and mechanic.

Two brothers: Rudolph “Rudy” Kutey and wife Karen, and Raymond John Kutey, Jr. and wife Liz, all of Michigan,
One sister: Geraldine “Gerri” Kutey of Michigan,
A brother-in-law: John Dougherty of Michigan,
Grandchildren: Rachel Gouin, Kate Gouin, Jake Oaks, Noah Bland, Molly Oaks, Josiah Hargis, Ava Bland, and Ryan Bland,
A nephew: Josh Kutey and wife Laura of Michigan,
And several other family members and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Dougherty, and a niece, Heather Kutey.
Mr. Kutey had chosen to be cremated. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 1:00 PM CST at the Cross Creek Church, 1673 North Main St, Jamestown, KY. Bro. Tony Stephens will be officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, March 6, from 11:00 AM CST until time for the service.
