Mr. Joseph Niedzielski of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital. Born on October 16, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Niedzielski and Dorothy Spangler, he was 87 years, 6 months, and 25 days of age. He had made a profession of faith and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Niedzielski was a retired physicist, having been employed at the Armstrong Research and Development Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Even as a young man, Mr. Niedzielski had an affinity for all things water-related. He was a talented athlete and earned the title of All-American as a swimmer in high school. After graduation, he answered the call to duty, serving his country honorably in the United States Navy. Even his later years would prove his zeal for life; he remained a world-class Ping Pong player throughout the dusk of his years. He shared his passions in life with his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Belva (Tomlinson) Niedzielski, who survives. Together, they raised a family of four children, and the role of father and grandfather was where Mr. Nielzielski truly shone. His love for his family was paramount, and he cherished them above all other things.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Bel Niedzielski of Campbellsville, he leaves to carry his legacy:
Four children: Joseph W. Niedzielski and wife Janet of Greensburg, Jill A. Corcino of York, PA, Bruce L. Niedzielski of York, PA, and James R. Niedzielski of Dover, PA,
Two siblings: Robert Niedzielski and wife Arlene of New Salem, PA, and Dawn Neidzielski of Redding, PA,
Five grandchildren,
Eight great-grandchildren,
And a host of other family members and friends.
Mr. Niedzielski had chosen cremation. Those arrangements were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. All services were performed privately.
