John "Jr" Stearman

John “Junior” Stearman, of Greensburg, the son of the late John and Elsie (Darnell) Stearman, was born April 24, 1934 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Louisville at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. He was 86 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church and South Greensburg Baptist Church. He was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army. He was a former automobile body repairman for Goff Motors in Greensburg.      

He united in marriage to Creacy Jane (Howard) Stearman, who preceded him in death.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Tom and Vernon Stearman.

He is survived a daughter and son: Janie Cox and husband Barry of Campbellsville and Steve Stearman and wife Janet of Greenburg; two brothers: Paul Stearman and wife Nanette of Henderson and Raymond Stearman of Lebanon; four grandchildren: Shae Jones, Carlee Milby, Brandon Dudgeon and Dakota Smith; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Darnell Cemetery in Green County.
