Jackie Lee Lawson

JACKIE LEE LAWSON, age 70 of Columbia, formerly of Taylor County, was born November 18, 1951 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in Letcher County as the result of a semi-truck accident. He was 70 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.

Jackie was a truck driver for B&A Trucking in Columbia.

He enjoyed driving, fishing and hanging out and talking to people anywhere there was a coffee pot.

Survivors include: a son: Jackie “Pete” Lawson and wife Jennifer of Campbellsville; two daughters: Sherrie Curtsinger and husband Davis of Willisburg and Nicole Riggs and husband Glen of Lebanon.

Also surviving is his very special friend: Wanda Riley of Lebanon; six sisters: Judy Tungate and husband Glenn, Brenda Sue Rakes, Charlotte Wethington and husband Larry, Jeannie Colvin all of Campbellsville, Betty Fowler of Bradfordsville and Rosie Carol Legan of Indiana; two brothers: Keith Lawson of Campbellsville and Clemmie James Lawson of Elk Horn; eleven grandchildren: T.J. Lawson and wife Chasity, Loren Blevins and husband Ben, Zackary Miller, Eric and Derick Curtsinger, James Michael Riley, and Jasmine, Arabella, Amelia, Taylor, and Bethany Riggs, and host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Mary Ruth Haggerty.

The funeral service for Jackie Lee Lawson will be Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery at Bass Ridge.
