Holland Milby Obituary

   Mr. Holland Wayne Milby of Campbellsville was born to the late Harold and Rosie (Elmore) Milby in Green County on August 12, 1935. He departed this life on Friday, May 15, 2020 at his home following a long illness. He was 84 years, 9 months, and 3 days of age. Mr. Milby had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a trustee of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Milby was employed in the maintenance department of the City of Campbellsville as a supervisor over 45 years. In 1967, he united in marriage to Patty Brown, who survives. He enjoyed all things mechanical, and restored several antique tractors. He was dedicated to his church and loved helping people. His best days were spent vacationing with his family or just gathering around the dinner table with family and friends. 

   Beside his wife, Mrs. Patty Milby of Campbellsville, he is survived by:

   Three children: Sharon Mills and husband Jeff of Campbellsville, Shirley Smith and husband Phillip of Greensburg, and Stephanie VanMeter and husband James of Greensburg.

   Two siblings: Mike Milby and Sharon Sharp and husband Randall, all of Campbellsville,

   Nine grandchildren: Karen Campbell, Adam Milby, Jonathan Mills, Cody VanMeter, Courtney Sowell, Landan VanMeter, MaKayla VanMeter, Bailey Smith, and Logan Smith,

   A daughter-in-law: Marcia Milby,

   Three great-grandchildren: Savannah MIlby, Barron Mills, and Blakely Sowell,

   A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family, and innumerable friends.

   He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Milby; and three sisters, Doris Adele Keltner, Sue Southern, and Brenba Marcum.

    A social distancing visitation with state mandated guidelines will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church, 200 Coakley St, Campbellsville, KY. 

   Interment will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery following a private funeral service.

   In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund. Those can be made in person during the visitation, or online through the “How Can I Help” tab on the front page of this site.
