Goldie Esther (Nelson) Sprowles

          Goldie Esther Sprowles of Attila Road Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Frank and Nannie (Underwood) Nelson, was born February 4, 1925 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She 95 years of age.

          She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church.

          Goldie was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and was a homemaker. She enjoyed ginseng digging, riding horses, working in the garden and quilting, but most of all her family.

          Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie Sprowles, three children: Erlene Jump, Mike Sprowles and Steven Sprowles and four sisters: Lorene, Beatrice and Annie Thompson and Darlene Brooks.

          She is survived by: Five children: Buddy Sprowles and wife Irene of Hodgenville, Larry Sprowles and wife Helen, Paul Sprowles and wife Mary, Roger Sprowles and wife Debra all of Campbellsville and Judy Bibb of Greensburg; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, a host of great-great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law: Dixie Sprowles; a son-in-law: Floyd Jump and other relatives and friends.

          Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all services will be held privately Wednesday at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

          Bro. Ronda Arnett and Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating.

          Interment will follow in the Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.
