Mrs. Glenda June (Woodrum) Gribbins of Campbellsville, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in Campbellsville at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on April 24, 1944 to the late Georgie and Lois (Tungate) Woodrum, she was 76 years, 2 months, and 7 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. She was a former employee of Druthers and Jane & Linda Sewing Factory, and was a homemaker. In October 1959, she married Mr. Robert Harold Gribbins, and they remained a devoted couple until his death in August 2016.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Three daughters: Cathy Tungate and husband Marty of Gravel Switch, Gloria Witham of Campbellsville, and Misty Franklin and husband Michael of Campbellsville,
Six grandchildren: Weston Lee Tungate, Nathan Witham, Austin Witham, Nikki Smith, Micah Franklin, and Matthew Franklin,
Two great-grandchildren,
Four sisters-in-law: Judy Gribbins, Janet Horton, LaVerne Allen, and Helen Spalding,
Two brothers-in-law: Jack Arnold Gribbins and wife Crystal, and William Lee Gribbins,
A special caretaker: Linda Clark,
A close friend: Corine Brooks,
And a host of other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Anthony “Tony” Gribbins, and two brothers, Arnold Woodrum and Weston Woodrum.
Mrs. Gribbins had requested cremation, and those arrangements were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Old Liberty Cemetery.
