Glen Gay, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Charlie Mack and Nora Blanche (Pendley) Gay, was born February 14, 1941 in Norman, Georgia and departed this life on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in Louisville at the Norton Audubon Hospital. He was 79 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville Baptist Temple.
He was a former telecom engineer.
Glen spent three years in the seminary, teaching the Bible to others and was a fill in minister when needed.
He was a car fanatic, enjoyed traveling and carpentry and was free spirited.
His wife: Eleanor (Myers) Gay of Campbellsville; three sons: Randall Gay of Campbellsville, Michael Gay of North Carolina and Matthew Gay and wife Kristy of Panama City Beach, Florida; a brother: Charles Ronald Gay of Georgia; special friends and the parents of Kristy, the daughter-in-law: Dean and Anna Gillock of Campbellsville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Ralph, R.L. and James Gay.
A celebration of life service will be Friday at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Bro. Jase Divens and Bro. Josh Wilson will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 4:30 P.M. until time for the service.
