George Harris Obituary

   Mr. George Lee Harris of Campbellsville, son of the late Orvey and Jessie (Whitlock) Harris, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Marion County on December 18, 1945, he was 75 years, 7 months, and 8 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Harris was a lifelong farmer and a timber cutter and sawmill worker. He enjoyed spending time in God’s creation, and was a talented animal trainer with a passion for hunting and fishing.

   Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by five siblings: Jimmy Harris, Charles Harris, David Harris, Carl Harris, and Dottie Mae Bagby.

   He leaves to cherish his memory:

   Four children: George D. Harris and wife Kim of Raywick, Chad Isaiah Harris and wife Sheena of Green County, Tammy Sue Fisher and husband Michael of Franklin, and Ramona Gail Burris and husband Tracey of Campbellsville,

   Five siblings: Minnie Sullivan of Campbellsville, Modean Keeling of Mt. Washington, and Betty Graham, Mary Rose Hensley, and Kathy Thompson, all of Campbellsville,

   Fourteen grandchildren,

   Twenty-one great-grandchildren,

   And a host of other family and friends.

   Mr. Harris chose cremation. All services were performed privately.
