Obituary
Mr. George L. Barnett of Campbellsville, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the St. Matthews Care Center in Louisville. Born on December 29, 1948 to the late Dutch Barnett and Ollie Hardin Barnett, he was 74 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Barnett served his country honorably in the United Sates Army having served in Vietnam. He loved eating a good meal and relaxing watching television.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His niece: Debbie Claywell of Campbellsville, three great-nephews: Shannon Claywell of Munfordville, Brandon Claywell and Shawn Claywell both of Campbellsville. One great-great niece, who he loved dearly, Braysen Claywell and one great-great nephew Briggs Claywell.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond “Shorty” Barnett and Gilbert Barnett, and his companion of 30 plus years, Carolyn Burnett, and a host of extended family members and friends.
The family has chosen cremation and all services will be private.
