Fern Settle

   Mr. Fern Settle , 91, of Campbellsville, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. He was born on January 25, 1929 in Washington County to the late Elva and Zelma Catherine (Young) Settle. Mr. Settle was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country honorably during the reconstruction of Japan after WWII. He worked the entirety of his life for a variety of pipeline services laying pipelines across the United States. Mr. Settle was a Shriner and loved his Sunday School class at Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

   His wife: Carol Anne (Hartfield) Settle,

   A daughter: Catherine Settle of Somerset,

   A son: Fern Kent Settle and wife Andrea of Campbellsville,

   Two grandchildren: Zachary Kent Settle and Blake Thomas Settle, both of Campbellsville,

   A sister: Wanda Vittitoe of Bloomington, Illinois,

   Several nieces and nephews,

   And a host of other family and friends.

   He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Marlin Settle, Geoge Settle, and Kirtley Settle; and one sister: Ruth Arnold.

   Mr. Settle will be laid to rest in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Campbellsville.

   All funeral services will be performed privately.
