Earl Ronald Cox Obituary

Mr. Earl Ronald “Ronnie” Cox of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born on June 3, 1951 to the late Earl and Viola (Featherstone) Cox, he was 68 years, 3 months, and 25 days of age. He was a former truck driver.

Mr. Cox enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was passionate about politics; when he needed to unwind from watching too much FOX News, he relaxed by watching the birds outside his window. His love for his family and friends will be dearly missed.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His wife: Mrs. Allieson Cox of Campbellsville,

Four children: Stephen Tompkins (Karen) of Melborne, Florida, Kathleen Cox (Michael Partin) of Columbia, Del Cox (Dayna) of Campbellsville, and Christopher Shoffner (Stacey) of Guys, Tennessee,

Four siblings: Michael Cox (Debbie) of Indianapolis, Delmar Cox of Indianapolis, Vickie Scott (Jeff) of Greensburg, and Denise Hogan of Shelbyville, Indiana,

Nine grandchildren: Lyndsay Tompkins, Haylee Tompkins, Ethan Knifley, Madison Estes, Chyenne Esttes, Joseph Carter, Angelica Phitzinger, Christen Shoffner, and Christopher Shoffner,

   Six great-grandchildren,

A special nephew: William Earl Cox (Shyla) of Portsmouth, Ohio,

And a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a special aunt and uncle, Cliff and Ellen Prather.

Mr. Cox requested cremation. Those wishes will be carried out by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
