I am deeply sorry for your loss and the pain that I know will never fully subside. Try to find strength and comfort in every single wonderful moment you had with Dylan. The celebration that he lived will help see you through. I still have some artwork and feet and hand prints of Dylan's in storage. When I come across them, I will send them to you. Dylan was honestly one of the most well-mannered and respectful toddlers to come through WKUCCC in the 13 years that I worked there. He is going to be truly mourned and missed.

I was at the hospital with you that evening. I didn't want to be the one who told you. No one wants to break news like that to a parent or sibling. It wasn't the right time, then, to tell you. February 26, 2013, my 27 year-old cousin Brandon was killed by gunshots as he sat in a parking lot in his truck, in Bowling Green. It was a road rage incident that turned violent. The shooter knew Brandon. He was never prosecuted, though the town held a vigil or two in honor of justice for Brandon. I wasn't at the hospital with my family the night they brought him in because Brandon and I had fought verbally 3 years before this evening, over musical styles, of all things. We stopped communicating with each other. This was a cousin I had dearly loved over the years. I prayed and prayed for him to make it, and the family had great faith that he would, but after the gunshot, he never regained consciousness. The family took him off the medical equipment about a week after the gunshot. We had all cried till we couldn't cry anymore. Brandon was so influential in Bowling Green, that a Celebration of Life ceremony was held at the Skypac. I attended. I couldn't believe how many lives he had touched in such a short time. His daddy danced to the song "I Can Only Imagine." I will never forget that. His dad is a preacher ... I loved Brandon. One day I know I will see him again, for he knew Jesus. He was in a Christian rock band, playing bass guitar, and he sang too. He loved other people and gave really good hugs, which I miss. It's been four years now, and I still think about him. I'm so sorry for your loss of Dylan. He will be waiting for YOU to come to HIM. Can you imagine what he's seeing now? I must tell you there is a total solar eclipse on August 21. 33 days later, there is a sign in the heavens. It is referred to as the Revelation 12 sign. It will not occur again in 7,000 years. This is the "sign of the Son of Man." This will occur on September 23, this year. The Feast of Trumpets will occur this same time period. This is where the phrase "at the last trump" has meaning. There are many videos on You Tube about this. Please watch. I believe our time of departure from this world system is fast approaching. I want to be ready to meet my Savior. I want you to be ready. I want ALL my friends and family to be ready. We cry for him and our departed loved ones here on earth, but one day, we will be reunited and the tears will be wiped away from our eyes.
