Mr. Donald Keith Cox of Campbellsville was born July 29, 1947 to Johnnie E. and Nancy Marie (Hardwick) Cox. He departed this life on April 1, 2021 at his home, being 73 years, 8 months, and 3 days of age. He was a retired truck driver and farmer, and had served his country honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Cox had recently accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Laura Cox of Elk Horn,
A son : Nicky Cox and wife Amy of Campbellsville,
Two grandchildren: Kaley Cox and Briley Cox,
A sister: Geraldine Parrish of Campbellsville
Two half-brothers and a half-sister: Michael, Terry and Linda Boren.
And a host of other family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Thelma Boren, Joseline Osborne, Goldie Smith and Hallie Rattliff and a brother: Mitchell Cox and a half-brothers: Larry Boren.
There will be a funeral service to honr the life of Mr. Cox on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Dr. Brian Rafferty will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery on Bass Ridge.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 5, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.
