Mr. David Elwood Richerson of Campbellsville was born on April 15, 1933 in Taylor County to the late Harry Malcolm and Nancy Louise (Griffin) Richerson. He departed this life on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 88 years of age. Mr. Richerson had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer.
Having never met a stranger, Mr. Richerson loved to talk and socialize. Eating good restaurant food with friends and family was a favorite way to spend an afternoon. He was also a talented mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with motors. He took great pleasure in watching his chickens scratch around and loafing with friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
A son: David Wayne Richerson and wife Teresa of Campbellsville,
Five grandchildren: Travis Hosak, Kristopher Gallagher and wife Ashley, Karis Wright and husband Jacob, Malcolm Richerson and wife Sirinan, and Kaylin Carranza and husband Ederson; ten great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Sue hosak-Gallagher.
There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Richerson on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 14, after 5:00 PM until time for the service.
