Carl "Possum" Harris

         Carl “Possum” Harris, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Orvey Carl Harris, Sr. and Betty (Keith) Harris, was born June 5, 1976 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 45 years of age.

          He was an employee of Cox Interiors and was of the Baptist Faith.

          Possum enjoyed fishing, hunting, and teaching others to hunt and fish; he loved coin collecting and spending time with his grandson and his dog Dottie Mae.

          He is survived by his wife: Maranda (Miles) Harris; a daughter: Bethany Harris and companion Sean Mullins and a son: Dakota Harris all of Campbellsville.

          Other survivors include a brother: James Harris and wife Stephanie of Lebanon; two sisters: Carla Garrett and husband Chris of Campbellsville and Betsy Thompson and husband Doug of Mt. Sherman; a grandson: Kade Mullins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

         The funeral service for Carl “Possum” Harris will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Taylor County.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
