Mrs. Bessie Maye (Benedict) Callahan of Campbellsville was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 25, 1964 to the late Ollie Dean and Bonnie Lee (Richardson) Benedict. She departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 55 years, 7 months, and 4 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker to, and devoted wife of, Mr. Coy Callahan, Jr., who preceded her in death on March 4, 2010.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Three daughters: Maria Fajardo, Candice Callahan, and Lacrisha Callahan, all of Campbellsville,
One brother: Bobby Lee Benedict and wife Barbara of Indianapolis,
Seven grandchildren: Riley, Raelyn, Clarissa, “Buba Lou”, Emmett, Shane, and Skyler,
Close friends: Jake Caulk, Billy Melson, and Tommy Pyles,
And a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Callahan on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will follow in the Callahan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 3, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.
