Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Gabehart, daughter of the late Wendell and Elizabeth Sue (Whited) King, spouse of Wanless “Pete” Gabehart, passed suddenly from this life on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 1:02 AM at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born in Taylor County on July 12, 1962, she was 59 years, 1 month, and 20 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Feathersburg First Church of God. Mrs. Gabehart was a former employee of Taylor County Hospital and Adanta, but first and foremost, she was a mother. Providing for the needs of her family was paramount in her life, and she took special pride in caring for them.
Besides her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory:
Seven children: Richie Gabehart and wife Dana of Elk Horn, Katie Cox and husband Daren of Campbellsville, and Brandon Gabehart, Riley Gabehart, Isabelle Gabehart, Sierra Gabehart, and Andrew Gabehart, all of Columbia,
Three siblings: Ricky King of Elk Horn, David King of Elk Horn, and Rebecca Beard and husband Robert of Knifley,
Three grandchildren: Gracie Gabehart, Rylan Gabehart, and Brittany Vaughn,
One great-grandchild,
And a host of extended family and close friends.
She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Anna Gabehart on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Feathersburg First Church of God, 4571 Speck Ridge Rd, Elk Horn, KY. Bro. Craig Huddleston and Bro. Alex Cox will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Chappell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY on Saturday, Sept. 4, from 5:00-8:00 PM, and at the church on Sunday, Sept. 5, from 12:00 PM until time for the service.
