Mr. Galedon Roscoe Hunt, son of the late Welburn and Ophia (Spurling) Hunt, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his home after a sudden illness. He was 67 years, 11 months, and 25 days of age. He was raised in the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church, and later attended the Saloma Baptist Church with his wife as his health allowed. He was a retired employee of the City of Campbellsville, having worked many years driving a truck for the sanitation department. He didn’t simply overcome physical hardships – he truly enjoyed working. His ready smile and genuine heart will be dearly missed.
He leaves to mourn his passing:

Two children: Patrick Hunt and wife April, and Amanda Hunt,
One step-son: David Richerson and wife Teresa,
Eight siblings: Melvin Hunt, Pauline Cash, Donnie Hunt and wife Sue, Sondra Gilbert and husband Danny, Sharon Wethington, Colane Hunt and wife Teresa, Priscilla Wooley and husband Bud, and Teddy Hunt,
Seven grandchildren,
One expectant grandchild,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Donna Mendoza.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Roscoe Hunt on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 29, from 12:00 noon until time for the service.
