Raymond Wells, Sr. Obituary

   Mr Raymond Edward “Ray” Wells, Sr., of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at his home. Born on November 24, 1936 in Long Island, New York to the late Raymond Steale and Margaret (Clatt) Wells, he was 82 years, 10 months, and 12 days of age. He was a retired employee of AT&T and a talented and respected coach. Some of his proudest moments were earned as a mentor for the West Citrus Soccer Club in Homosassa Springs, Florida. 

   He leaves to carry his legacy:

   Three children: Raymond Wells, Jr. and wife Cindy of Campbellsville, Kathy Mattson and companion Don Moore of Weston, Florida, and Richard Mattson and wife Cathy of Anapolis, Maryland,

   Two siblings: Doug Wells and wife Tora of Live Oak, Florida, and Elaine Moore of Lake Havasu City, Arizona,

   Three grandchildren: Chris Stewart, Courtney Mattson, and Michael Mattson,

   A close friend: Mike Callaway of Homosassa, Florida,

   And a host of other family and friends.

   He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Raymond Edward “Trae” Wells, III.

   Mr. Wells requested cremation. Those arrangements were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service. He will be laid to rest in the Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa at a later date.
