Mrs. Monica Hovious Houghlin of Elk Horn passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at her home. Born to Roger and Charlotte (Davis) Hovious on July 15, 1973, she was 45 years, 7 months, and 16 days of age. She was a former employee of the Fruit of the Loom plant until physical disabilities demanded her retirement. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of Christie Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed keeping up with friends and family on Facebook and at home, and loved to socialize playing bingo. She was the wife of Mr. William "Billy" Houghlin, who preceded her in death in December 2017. She leaves to mourn her passing: Her father and mother: Roger and Charlotte Hovious of Elk Horn, Special uncles: Johnny Davis, and Phillip Hovious and wife Sherry, Close aunt: Marsha Humphress and husband Alvin; Cousins: Brandon Hovious, Tyler Hovious, Amy Humphress, Amanda Burress, Joseph Davis, and Christopher Davis, And several other family members and friends. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Monica on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Tony Streeval will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Chappel Cemetery.
Visitation after 11:00 AM on Thursday until time for service.
