John Henry Dotson

   Mr. John Henry Dotson of Miller Rd, son of the late Jake and Bessie (Martin) Dotson, passed from this life at his home in Campbellsville on Friday, June 8, 2018 after an illness. Born on January 1, 1945, he was 73 years, 5 months, and 7 days of age. He was a retired horseman, having spent the majority of his life breaking and training horses. In what little spare time he had, he also enjoyed tinkering with small engines. Mr. Dotson was married to Helen (Haynes) Dotson, who preceded him in death in 2014.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

   Six children: Henry Dotson, Joe Dotson and wife Rachel, Jessica Volbrecht and husband Michael, Judy Dotson, Stephanie Dotson, and Johnny Dotson,

   Three siblings: Glenda Dennison, Helen Jones and husband Mike, and Delbert “Peanut” Dotson,

   Eight grandchildren: Hollie Dotson, Alexis Dotson, Amanda Dotson, C.J. Adams, Elijah Adams, Jada Veach, Jessie Dotson, and Sean Volbrecht,

   And a host of other family and friends.

   He was also preceded in death by six siblings: Odell Dotson, Raymond Dotson, Willie Dotson, Gib Dotson, Floyd Dotson, and Jene Dotson.

   There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Dotson on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Jon Dial will be officiating. Burial Will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Green County.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 10, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
