James Douglas “Doug” Wilhoit, the son of Mary Rose Murphy of Campbellsville and the late Darrell Douglas Wilhoit, was born Wednesday, February 24, 1965 in Clay County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 52 years, 2 months and 26 days of age.

          He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver and loved hunting, fishing and most of all his time spent with family and friends.

          Besides his mother he is survived by his wife: Connie Sue Wilhoit of Campbellsville; five children: Jeremy Wilhoit, Jessica Lotter and husband Jeremy and David Wilhoit all of Campbellsville, Stephanie Williamson and husband Craig of Mt. Sherman and Danielle Wilhoit and companion Jake Noel of Lebanon.

          Also surviving are six grandchildren: C.J. Cox, Alexis Lobb, Ashley Wilhoit, Samantha Wilhoit, Jesse James Lotter and Dakota Lotter and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for James Douglas “Doug” Wilhoit, will be conducted Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the M-W-L Cemetery in Larue County. Bro. Odell Warren and Bro. Dale Warren will be officiating.

          Family requests visitation from 5-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

          Memorials are suggested to the funeral expense fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
