Helen Brown Obituary

Mrs. Helen H. Brown of Campbellsville passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born on September 3, 1919 to the late Robert Earl and Mattie (Matherly) Skaggs, she was 98 years, 5 months, and 5 days of age. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and wife of Colman Brown, who preceded her in death in 2013. A beautiful lady with a beautiful heart, she loved caring for others, and opened her home to those in need. She loved children; she babysat and helped raise her grandchildren. Her hardworking and generous spirit will forever live through the family she helped raise.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

One son: Ronnie Brown of Campbellsville,

Three grandchildren: Marcia Underwood and husband Mickey of Campbellsville, Bobby Brown and wife Karen of Campbellsville, and Troy Brown of Lexington,

One sister: Margaret Durham of Campbellsville,

Three great-grandchildren: Josh Brown, Bryson Skaggs, and Kaylee Brown,

Two great-great grandchildren: Joss Scout Brown, and Carter Thomas Brown,

A brother-in-law and a sister-in-law: Bill Milby of Campbellsville, and Marie Manness of Gainesville, GA,

And a host of other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Beams, an infant son, Robert Wesley Brown, and seven siblings, Ruby Miller, Anna Marie Skaggs, J.T. Skaggs, Mable Sullivan, Albert G. Skaggs, Arlene Milby and Robert David Skaggs.

There will be a graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Brown on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM EST at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Drew Underwood will be officiating.
