Mrs. Doris T. Tucker of Greensburg, formerly of Adair County, passed from this life Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Hodgenville at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. Born on October 14, 1941 to the late Edwin and Winnie (McGaha) Bohanon, she was 77 years, 11 months, and 7 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Living Word Faith Center.
Mrs. Tucker exuded cheerfulness into most situations. That quality that served her well as an in home caregiver - or when she was just bargain-hunting yardsales. She loved spending time with people she loved, and made countless precious memories with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Four children: Tony Vaughn of Greensburg, Victor Vaughn of Columbia, Lisa Johnson and husband Jack of Brandenburg, and Tina Brock of Brandenburg,
One sister: Bobbie Turner and husband Ray of Edinburgh, Indiana,
A half sister: Seeofice Brown of Russell Springs,
And a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as several other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Burton.
In honor of the life of Mrs. Tucker, there will a gathering of family and friends on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Cremation rites will be accorded her following the visitation.
