Mr. Carl Roland Brunelle of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Green Hill Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Greensburg after an extended illness. Born in Bangor, Maine on February 5, 1937, he was 82 years, 9 months, and 12 days of age. Mr. Brunelle had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. He was a computer engineer, having worked for NASA on the Apollo 13 mission, and a former employee of Digital Equipment (now Hewlett-Packard). Mr. Brunelle was a veteran, and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
Three sons: Chris Brunelle, Mike Brunelle, and Jarrod Brunelle, all of Campbellsville,
Two siblings: Grace Jatkwicz and husband Frank of Vermont, and Martin Brunelle and wife Rose of New Hampshire,
Seven grandchildren: Alex, Izzy, Maddie, Jasmine, Nicholas, Sara, and Marcus,
One great-grandchild,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sgt. Katherine Elizabeth Brunelle, on May 30, 2007.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Brunelle on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM I the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Bro. Waylon Pendleton will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors being conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
