Mr. Burchell Couch, Jr., son of Burchell “Bird” Couch, Sr. and Vera (Goodin) Couch, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at his home in Columbia surrounded by his family. Born on April 20, 1968, he was 50 years, 11 months, and 14 days of age. He was a farmer and self-employed entrepreneur until becoming disabled.

Mr. Couch, or “Bub”, as he was affectionately known, was a cherished brother, son, and uncle. His sincerity and honest attitude was a positive attribute to all he knew, and will be dearly missed.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His parents: Burchell and Vera Couch of Columbia,

Two sisters: Darlene Bunch and husband Doyle, and Mary Smith and husband Gabriel, all of Columbia,

Six nieces and nephews: Amanda, Teagan, Allayna, Haylee, Lexi, and Elijah,

Close friend: David McVay of Columbia,

And several other friends and extended family members.

Mr. Couch requested cremation, and those honors were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. A memorial service will be conducted at the Hadley Community Church in Columbia on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM CDT. Bro. Elbert Hadley will be officiating.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Hosparus of Green River for their care and compassion.
