Garnett “Bud” Lanham of Campbellsville, the son of the late Zachary Taylor Lanham and Maydrue Abner Sinclair, was born on September 27, 1943, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at his residence. He was 80 years of age.
He was of the Baptist Faith and attended the Point Pleasant Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was previously employed as a meat cutter for various supermarkets. He was a veteran having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting coins, and spending time with his family. He was a Mason and member of the Pitman Lodge #124.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Kanzlemar Lanham along with two sons: Mark Lanham and companion Elaine of Bradfordsville, and Shawn Lanham and wife Jessica of Campbellsville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one expected great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters: Eva, Doris, Zackie, Elmer, James, and Shirlee, and his Step-dad, Fred Abner.
The funeral service for Garnett “Bud” Lanham will be held Friday, March 22, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville with cremation to follow. Bro. Jim Collison will officiate.
Masonic Services be performed. Full Military honors will be awarded by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family requests visitation on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. until the time for the service at the funeral home.
