Mrs. Shirley “Boots” Perkins was born on November 27, 1953 in Campbellsville to the late Clarence Henry Price and Elizabeth Mae (Nelson) Hughes. She departed this life on May 17, 2016 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness, being 62 years, 5 months, and 20 days of age. Mrs. Perkins professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazerene. She worked at Smith’s Wholesale in Campbellsville before becoming a nurse at the Taylor County Hospital. Mrs. Perkins loved spending time with her friends and family, and will be dearly missed by many.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

                One daughter: Tiffany Willis and fiancé Greg TenEyck of Stanford,

                One grandson: Tuck Napier,

                Four siblings: Evelyn Dile and husband Kenny of Green County, Billy Price and wife Diane of Campbellsville, Linda Rooker of Campbellsville, and Cathy Tucker of Indiana,

                A friend she considered her sister: Marsha Gribbins of Campbellsville,

                A special friend: Daniel Mings of Campbellsville,

                And a close niece: Catina Simmons of Campbellsville,

                And a host of other family and friends.

                She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Laura Nelson, and three brothers, Coleman Price, Marvin Price, and David “Doc” Hughes.

                There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Perkins on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Dwayne Lobb will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, W. Main St, Campbellsville, KY 42718.

                The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 20, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
